The design of the new Hammer Strength Dumbbells and Barbells is based on information collated from our customers over several years, enabling us to compile a list of problems associated with free weights commonly used within the UK fitness industry. This information has been used to determine not only the shape of the new Hammer Strength Dumbbells and Barbells, but also the type of materials used and the construction and methods of fixing. The result is a product range that provides a dual locking fixing system (patent applied for) and a more durable design to that used in current multi-plate dumbbells. The new, uniform shape provides for a product that is balanced and comfortable to use throughout the weight range.

In order to ensure that reliability and safety are maintained, the new designs have been tested by a UK accredited laboratory. The dumbbells were tested to failure using tests based on safety of use, simulating adverse conditions of abuse. The tests have ensured that the dumbbells comply with the General Product Safety Regulations 1994. In conclusion, the new design provides for a product that is aesthetically pleasing, robust and provides even and balanced weight distribution.
